Winter Greetings Friend!
We pray the LORD has been good to you and yours as the new year gets started, and you are staying warm in His presence. This past week doesn’t feel like winter here, but that’s Texas!
We have our final numbers for 2023. We praise God for all that was accomplished through our amazing team, volunteers, supporters and your prayers. In 2023, we….
- supported 32 Good News Clubs with more than 812 children
- hosted 137 Party Clubs sharing Jesus with 2,945 children
- participated in six events reaching 1,428 children
- reached more than 5,000 households with Gospel resources
- registered 83 new volunteers
- trained 127 volunteers for club ministry
That was last year. What can we do together this year?
The challenge before us is to do “More in ’24!” to reach the children of North Texas. Together, we can all do more! We can all pray more, share more, and give more for the spiritual benefit of our children. But did you know that as we do we are also richly blessed?
The Apostle Paul writes to Philemon, “I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.” (Philemon 1:6)
Paul tells us that sharing our faith is the way to the fullest understanding of who Christ is for us. Paul is saying we can’t really know Jesus fully without sharing him with others. We can do good things, compassionate things, church things, but miss the fullness of the best thing – fully knowing Jesus.
When was the last time you shared your faith with someone who needs to know? Sharing the Gospel is not only for their benefit, but as Paul makes clear, it is ours to have a “full understanding” of our Lord Jesus Christ! A true win-win for the glory of God!
CEF Dallas exists to mobilize and train adults and teens so that children know the hope they have in Christ. In January we trained 53 volunteers, many new to CEF. Are you ready to have a “full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ”? If so, then as Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples.” The hour is urgent and the need is greater than ever.
We are here to serve you through training, resourcing, and coordination. This month we have three excellent opportunities listed below. Plan to join us and also share these opportunities with others.
