And I am sure of this, that he who has begun a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 1:6

Happy fall y’all!

It seems that cooler weather and fall days are finally here!

We are so excited at CEF Dallas that Good News Clubs are back in session!

At present we have 15 clubs at public schools, daycares, after school programs and online with more than 400 children expected to attend. We are so thankful for our volunteers and GNC leaders that are doing this good work in obedience to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We had an exciting back to school bash in August to prepare for this semester including a lesson demonstration from our curriculum series, God’s Sovereignty: The Life of Joseph. What an example Joseph is of someone who persevered and excelled even in the face of hardship and injustice. Joseph did not choose to be a prisoner, but he was able to choose what kind of prisoner he would be! God promised a Savior through Joseph’s family and God Keeps His Promises!

We are persevering here at CEF Dallas in our work to take the Good News to children. We had a successful Quick Start training in August with 18 participants. We also had an evangelism training for a team from Light and Salt Academy, a refugee ministry, which will be counseling children for salvation at Harmony Kidsfest on October 7. This event will welcome children and families from different countries and faiths in the Richardson/Dallas area and will include an invitation for trusting in Christ.

Our staff is always available to train YOUR team or ministry to reach children for Christ more effectively.

Christmas is around the corner, and we are preparing for Christmas party club season now! Please join us on Frida, October 6, at the Hope Center for a free training and lesson demonstration of “God Keeps His Promises”. We will equip you and your team to host a fun, evangelistic Christmas party. Choose your own location or join us at one of the many daycares in our area. So many open their doors and hearts at this special time of year. Register and find out more here: https://cefdallas.org/ministries/partyclubs/

Finally, you may be wondering why our CEF Dallas director Brian Considine is not writing this update. He is currently undergoing surgery and treatment for cancer. Please be in prayer for his healing as he takes time to recover. We ask that you lift Brian and his wife Debbie up to our Great Physician. Our staff is carrying on until he returns, and we are here to assist you. We claim the verse at the top of this page for all… that the Lord will bring to completion the good work He has started before His triumphant return. Let us persevere and serve with joy together!

In Christ for the children!

Susan Moore

Ministry Coordinator – CEF Dallas

PS — Thank you to all who were part of our success on North Texas Giving Day, whether through giving, sharing, or praying! We appreciate your willingness to invest in the mission and ministry that the Lord is doing through CEF Dallas
