Greetings and blessings Friends!
I hope this email finds you doing well and staying in the warmth of His Spirit. It seems winter has come early to North Texas this week, with Christmas 52 days away. The Holiday Season begins again with Thanksgiving and giving thanks for all God has blessed us with this year.
What are you giving thanks for?
I am giving thanks for all of God’s people who prayed for me these past couple of months. I am grateful that God heard your prayer for my health and has quickly brought healing to my body. It is quite a praise to God that after only 2 days in recovery, I have not needed pain meds following the removal of a softball sized tumor. If you would like to know more about my cancer journey, you can read more at my CaringBridge page.
I am giving thanks for our awesome team – Warren, Susan, Lori, Celia Cinnamon, and Grace –who have carried forward the mission so admirably in my absence and recovery. I want to give a special thanks for Susan who plays such a vital role as our ministry coordinator and who stepped up to lead in my absence. Each of our team plays an important role in our mission to mobilize the Church to reach Gen Alpha. Each has a deep passion and great love for the LORD and for the children, as well as a strong desire to serve our amazing volunteers.
I am giving thanks for our amazing volunteers who so faithfully serve the children through Good News Clubs, Party Clubs and other outreach. I am giving thanks for our faithful supporters who empower our mission to Every Child. I am giving thanks for our church and community partners who support the mission in their community. I am giving thanks for the elementary schools and day care centers who allow us to host clubs. I am giving thanks for you!
Together let us give thanks to God for Child Evangelism Fellowship and all that he accomplishes in us and through us to bring the Good News to children. Let us give thanks for Every Child we have been blessed to come in contact with this past year and the children we will reach through Christmas Party Clubs in December. And, of course, let us praise God for all the children who made a decision to receive the greatest gift of God in Christ.
As we give thanks and praise to our great God and our LORD Jesus Christ for all that was and will be accomplished in 2023. We also have a great need to pray more earnestly and fervently than ever. We see the global turmoil and the cultural confusion seemingly increasing with each passing day. Even in these tumultuous days, we know God is still in control and there is still much work to be done.
We are asking for your continued prayers and year-end support to finish 2023 strong and accelerate into 2024. Giving Tuesday is November 28 and this year we have a matching gift of $7,000 so your gift will be doubled! You can use the link below to give online now for our Giving Tuesday campaign or mail a check marked Giving Tuesday for double the impact.
Let us together give thanks to God for all he has done and will do. More to come in ’24!
Have a blessed Thanksgiving with your loved ones!
