Then Jesus said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
— Matthew 9:37-38
Did you know…
This summer, CEF Dallas took 29 students (ages 12-19) through a fun and interactive missionary training camp we call Christian Youth In Action, or CYIA for short.
CYIA is a program developed by CEF for training young people to share the Gospel with children and lead a 5-day Good News Club. After training, these 29 new CYIA missionaries were deployed in teams across Dallas to 16 mission fields where they confidently proclaimed the Gospel to children. They reached more than 365 children with the Good News of Jesus, and 33 of them made decisions to follow Jesus!
Our youth, or students, are a great source of LABOR for the Gospel. And the CYIA training helps them fully step into their identity in Christ — and share that identity with the children they encounter in the local mission field.
But training isn’t them isn’t quick. And isn’t free. There are costs associated with curriculum, and often the most willing students don’t have the means to bear the entire burden of the cost.
And that’s why our goal is to raise $30,000 through North Texas Giving Day to cover the cost of CYIA 2026 and deploy TWICE as many student missionaries in our local area!
Our students weren’t the only ones laboring for the Gospel this summer!
Many of our adults — 39 to be exact — participated in training and took that training to locations throughout our region to share the Good News of Jesus with children — children who are under attack in a world that wants to define them in ways that destroy their hope and tear down our culture!
Can we count on you to support CEF Dallas through North Texas Giving Day’s early giving option?
Today, Labor Day, is a great day to note that laborers are an essential part of the mission and ministry of CEF Dallas.
Without laborers, there is no one to share the Good News.
Without laborers, there is no one to counsel the children.
Without laborers, there is no one to train the teens and adults who are ready to help with the harvest!
This Labor Day is also the kick off for North Texas Giving Day’s Early Giving
