Greetings Friends,
We hope your Christmas was wonderfully blessed of our God and King and your New Year is off to a great start. May your 2025 be filled with multiplying blessings in Christ!
As many of you know, I have been in the battle of my life against a very aggressive cancer that seems to be winning at this point. I spent several days in and out of the hospital in December, including over Christmas and New Years. I don’t share this for sympathy but to glorify God who counted me worthy to enter into this suffering. God uses our suffering to conform us more into the image of Christ, for which we must give him praise. The LORD can heal me or take me home, BUT either way, I win!
Thank you for your prayers, for my family and me, as this battle rages! But victory is assured!
Turning our attention to what the LORD accomplished through CEF Dallas, I am excited to report that a record number of children were reached with the Gospel in 2024. “More in 2024!” was accomplished as together we reached 5,794 children, just short of our goal of 6,000! This was accomplished through 37 Good News Clubs, 156 Good News Parties, and 9 other outreach events! This was only possible as we worked together as a team to reach children with the Good News of Jesus Christ! Let’s together give a shout of praise to the LORD for all who went and took the Gospel to children who need to know the hope we have in Christ.
Now we turn our attention to “Multiply in ’25!” One of the highlights of last year was our Vision Dinner in October, which set us up for this coming year to expand the ministry to reach even more children. Project: Reach Dallas is our new 3-year plan to double the number of children we reach annually. We are already at work putting into place new staff to accomplish this mission. We are grateful for all our financial partners who saw the vision and have invested in the future.
What about the immediate future excites you? For me, it’s knowing what the LORD has done to assemble an amazing staff, Chapter Committee, and Advisory Council. We have expanded our staff to better reflect our community over the past couple of years. And, we doubled our Committee in that same period. The LORD has brought us competent, committed, and Christlike servant-leaders to guide the ministry forward and execute the vision He has given us. I am grateful for all the LORD has put in place, and it gives me peace as I continue to battle the beast of cancer.
Did you know that nearly 1,000 of you read these emails monthly? I am blessed that you do. But my question is what more can you do personally to bring the Gospel to more children of North Texas? Opportunities are everywhere to share the joy of your salvation with so many little ones who need to know. We need and appreciate your prayers and support, but we also need more workers in the abundant harvest. Come join us in 2025, get the training you need, and become an active participant in the Great Commission! We are here to serve and equip you!
