He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding

Daniel 2:21

Thanksgiving Greetings Friends!

We hope that your October was blessed of the LORD and we pray that you are in good health as we look forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas – the most wonderful time of the year!

At CEF Dallas, our October was filled from start to finish. Good News Clubs are growing and other outreach events saw nearly 500 children reached with the Good News. Of course, the biggest event in October was our Vision Dinner on the 5th. Plans are already underway for next year’s Vision Dinner to be even bigger and better. We praise God for all that was accomplished last month.

Now as we look forward to this month, we must be mindful and prayerful for our Election today. Regardless of the outcome, certain things remain unchangeable. A meme floating around Facebook speaks to truth of the unchangeable nature of our God and His person, promises and purpose.

To this list, we can add the following:

11. God’s mission for all people, including children, to repent and be saved, will continue

12. Our place in God’s mission will continue until Christ returns or calls us home.

Whatever happens tonight the Harvest remains plentiful, the workers remain few, and on Wednesday our mission remains the same. More Good News Clubs, more Good News Parties, more volunteers trained. In order to accomplish more, we do need more financial partners.

As we look toward year-end, we are looking to close the gap in our Project: Reach Dallas funding to fully launch this strategic initiative in January 2025. As previously reported, our project is focused on Dallas ISD and we have a goal of $175,000. At our vision dinner on October 5, we raised $103,000 toward this funding goal.

With your help we can close this gap by December 31, so that 5,000 more children hear the Good News of Jesus Christ is for them. You can make your year-end partner gift below.

The most important thing we can do right now is prepare our hearts and pray for our election. Many across the nation prayed at 6pm last night. We should continue in that spirit of prayer today. We must trust the LORD for the outcome and give thanks in all things.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving with family and loved ones!
