September Greetings Friends,
We pray this email finds you well and that you had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend. While temperatures look to be cooling off, things at CEF Dallas are heating up!
August was filled with our very first Back to School Children’s Ministry Conference at the beginning of the month and a Quick Start Training toward the end of the month, plus the start of Teaching Children Effectively – Level 1 as well. In total we trained 90 volunteers in August. Pray with us that these volunteers are now ready to go into the harvest to reach more children for Christ.
August was also preparation for Good News Clubs, as clubs get started this month. We are working on new club starts in Aubrey, Lewisville, and another new club in McKinney. Pray with us for the Club Leaders and volunteers who are returning to schools or just getting started in new Good News Clubs. Pray also for the children participating in Good News Club that they will learn of the Father and have a life changing encounter with Jesus Christ.
August is also the end of our Fiscal Year (September to August) for our statistics. Let me share a snapshot what was accomplished in the past twelve months.
Let us praise the LORD together for all that was accomplished in the past 12 months through our wonderful team and amazing volunteers! Without volunteer Gospel workers, this wouldn’t happen! Pray for more Gospel workers to be equipped so that more children are reached. Pray for all of the children who heard the Gospel, especially those counseled who made decisions, that the Gospel seed will take root and grow in their young lives to transform their futures for Christian living.
Looking ahead toward the final months of 2024, there is much yet to happen this calendar year. We’re already planning and ask you to join us in praying for a great Good News Christmas Party season. This year, training is being offered in both English and Spanish. It’s such a great time to get involved and share the true meaning of Christmas with children. More information is below. The most exciting event we are working on is our Vision Dinner on October 5th. Jeff Nichols, new acting VP of USA Ministries, is our guest speaker. We will use this dinner to invite a greater portion of the community to participate through prayer and financial partnership as we seek to reach Gen Alpha and change the future for more children. Please also pray for God to bless this event so Kingdom resources are available to minister the Gospel to more children. There is no cost to attend but RSVP is required.
