DESCRIPTION:Click here to register for the Back To School Conference  \nFor Teens and Adults \nSaturday\, August 9\, from 9 am – 1 pm (lunch included) \nFirst Baptist Church at the Fields\, 1401 Carrollton Parkway\, Carrollton \nFREE! \nLast year’s conference was awesome and we’re doing it again! Sessions will be presented by CEF trained and certified teachers to better equip Good News Club and other children’s ministry workers to evangelize and disciple children.  \nGuest Speakers: Amy Davison\, Mama Bear Apologetics and Emily Steele from ICR \nTopic: Apologetics \nAmy Davison will be our guest speaker this year. Amy graduated with a Master’s in Apologetics from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2018. Since joining Mama Bear\, Amy has taken an active role in writing and also serving as co-host on the Mama Bear podcast. Amy and her husband\, Mike\, are both Air Force veterans and have a heart for helping parents and kids love God with their minds. Together\, they are raising three boys and a little girl in Texas. When Amy isn’t doing Mama Bear things\, she enjoys staying up late reading and visiting antique stores. Amy also has a general weakness for comedies and Earl Grey tea. \nEmily Steele joined ICR in 2023 coming from a career as a teacher of future teachers. She graduated in 2013 from Bob Jones University with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences with a minor in Dramatic Arts. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in Management and Leadership from Liberty University and graduated with a Master of Science in Family & Consumer Sciences Education from Texas Tech University in 2017. She taught Education and Training at a public high school for 7 years and also sponsored the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) chapter at her school where she held various leadership roles in her area and in the state. Miss Steele brings her passion for creation\, love of event planning\, and enthusiasm for students and education to her role as the Children’s Education Specialist on the events team. \nAttending the Back To School Conference will enhance your evangelistic skills and discipling abilities to better serve our Lord Jesus Christ.  \nSign up with some friends and join us for a morning of great teaching and relationship building!
